On May 17th, excitement filled the air as six enthusiastic pupils from Banstead Taekwondo made their way to the Impact HQ in Croydon for the TKD Mini-Competition for Under 13s. This event was not just about competition; it was a chance for our young athletes to grow and showcase their hard work and determination. For three of these participants, this was their first experience in a competitive environment, adding a special element to the day.
Competing can be intimidating, especially for those just starting out. It is crucial to acknowledge that the willingness to participate is an achievement in itself. Stepping onto the competition floor requires bravery, discipline, and a genuine desire to grow, qualities that deserve recognition. Participation helps instill a sense of achievement and teaches essential life skills such as perseverance and teamwork.
