2026 see's 30 years of TaeKwon-Do Impact, the governing body that Banstead TKD is a member off, and they kicked off the years events by organising a colourbelt only tournament for it's members and some selected invited schools from around the country.
The event was organised very well, crowd control was excellent, as was scheduling and we experienced minimal delays and it seems competitors, spectators, umpires and organisers were generally very pleased with the event.
Of course, not everyone can be judged a winner of their events' divisions and take home some medals, but as Master Anderson described it: Everyone took home valuable experience by taking part in the competition.
Banstead TaeKwon-Do Competitors
We had 12 competitors take part, from Junior TKD, Teens TKD and Adult TKD classes. For 7 of those it was their first competition, and we had 3 adults take part and that is really good to see.

Competing is hard and people often don't take part because they're afraid of something, which is why taking part really should be celebrated because by taking part you already have achieved highly and overcome certain worries or apprehension and you have put yourself into the unknown and you certainly will experience exponential growth in TaeKwon-Do because of that.
