Master Russell Dennis, 8th Degree Blackbelt in ITF TaeKwon-Do, is fairly local to our club Banstead TaeKwon-Do. He has been my instructor now for about 16 years, after my 11 years of TaeKwon-Do in Scotland.
We try to get all the Blackbelts, and Red belts, from both of our TKD schools together once a month but that hasn't quite worked out as planned over the last two years. So this was the first opportunity for us to train with him for a long time.
Being close to Christmas and short notice we didn't get a full quota of students to the event but there were plenty there to take away some knowledge and important points on their improvement from Master Dennis.
11 people of high grade training together in the room felt good and it gave me a chance to tighten up on a few things too. It is always a good thing to be the student again.
