The first ITF England Masters Seminar took place on November 9th 2019 at Redhill. This was an ITF England event and was open to all ITF England TaeKwon-Do Students and Instructors, so everyone from all over the country were invited.
Banstead TKD and Extreme TKD, I think, made up nearly half of the total students at the event. I am very pleased so many of us all supported this event. It's events like these that really fast track your skills as you get to learn from different teachers through a different medium.
As a student, you might have been hearing your own instructor correct your movement in a particular way. They might have said it a billion times, but perhaps for some reason the correction didn't make it's way from your ears to your body. Then you hear the same thing from a different instructor and all of a sudden the circuit boards all light up and the switch is thrown and it all makes sense to you, the correction is implemented and you immediately make lasting improvements. ;)
There were 3 seminars, first Patterns, then Sparring, then Self Defence to finish the day. Students could choose either of the seminars or all, and there was no pressure to feel like you had to attend all.
I personally attended only the Self Defence seminar, bringing Edie with me. Banstead TKD had representations in all Seminars, so any new knowledge will be imparted in class.
I'd like to say a MASSIVE WELL DONE to all Banstead TKD students who took part during the day:
Gabriel
Alexis
Josey
Rod
Edie
Aidan P
Stuart
Fynn
They all earned extra attendance points depending on the number of seminars attended.
Thank you to ITF England for organising and thank you to all the Masters who either attended and / or taught the sessions.
REPRESENT!
