About Us

About Banstead TaeKwon-Do

Banstead TaeKwon-Do started running Martial Arts lessons to people of all ages in September 2009 by using the Priory School Sports Hall in Bolters Lane, Banstead. We started with one night a week, a Wednesday and grew to two nights a week. As the instructor, I was approached by Greenacre School in Banstead to run a session on their premises too, this has now become our popular mixed ability term time class on Tuesdays. We now have a very popular Martial Arts School running ITF TaeKwon-Do affiliated to TaeKwon-Do Impact and ITF England. We have an excellent standard across the board and students develop great skills and friendships. 

​

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming club providing an excellent friendly atmosphere and a great learning environment. 

​

If you think Martial Arts Training in Banstead is for you, then please understand that we require commitment and that Martial Arts is not for everybody. For those that just want some exercise we run a fitness kickboxing class too. 

​

As well as strict ITF TaeKwon-Do we also run an extensive self defence programme and elements of the Indonesian Martial Art of Silat. I have 24 years experience in ITF TaeKwon-Do and a variety of other arts. 

​

With more than 23 years experience, and currently a 5th Degree Blackbelt in the Martial Art of ITF TaeKwon-Do and an expert level instructor & examiner I am very able to pass on the lessons that TaeKwon-Do training has to offer all people of all ages from all walks of life.

I have been taught by the highest ranking TaeKwon-Do instructors, Masters and Grand Masters in the UK and the World and this has given me a rounded experience to pass on TaeKwon-Do.

​

With a particular interest in the practical side of TaeKwon-Do and helping people understand more about themselves and helping people develop further than they thought possible Banstead TaeKwon-Do offers an unparalleled Martial Arts experience in Banstead and nearby.

​

As well as TaeKwon-Do I have a Phase One instructorship qualification in Silat Buka Lingkaran, an effective martial art influence by it's Indonesian roots. I trained with founder and chief instructor Guru Alvin Guinanao
